VALUE PROPOSITION

TOGETHER WITH THE BENEFICIARY I IDENTIFY THE NEEDS AND DELIVER A STATE-OF-THE-ART TURNKEY WEBSITE

DESCRIPTION OF Services THAT I DELIVER
IN DETAILS

A. Installation of the template of choice

Beneficiary of website starts by taking a look at my available templates (see Case Studies section on this page) and if he/she likes one, then I will be happy to start with that one.

Also, I invite Beneficiary to make his choice as far as the internet domain is concerned (example:www.myshop.com).

This could exist already owned by Beneficiary and I will simply work with registrars to transfer it for the new website.

I then proceed with the installation of template for the respective domain (either existing or the new one).

I take care of the followings:

  • hosting (this supposes regular subscriptions paid to both hosting provider and platform).
  • necessary configurations, including domain name servers, specific settings in the platform according to the preferences of beneficiary, configurations of connectivity to third parties that offer payment services.
  • creation of email accounts to be used by the business entity (that will operate the website) in relation to its clients.

Out of scope:

I am competent in IT, but other things like legal matters or similar cannot do.

  1. legal compliance (for example privacy page, GDPR documentation, Terms and Conditions and other similar). As I am not a lawyer, these exceed my compentency.
  2. Or if Beneficiary would like to sell on his shop some products that need authorisation (like for example bracelets made of solid gold as a jewerly business). I am not the right person when it comes to obtaining those legal authorisations.

REMARK:

Nevertheless, as far as the core structure of website and the steps that allow its customers to order online are concerned (i.e. ecommerce concept), I assure you that the website templates and the configurations I made are structured in accordance with the online / ecommerce rules in EU and worlwide. More precisely, the steps followed by visitors when placing orders on-line comply with the ecommerce laws and regulations (including “Review / Edit order” – the last step in the checkout process as required by legislation in many jurisdictions).

Instructions and operating details how to operate the website will be made available to Beneficiary with the occasion of website delivery.

B. Add On-s -> this service is optional:

A variety of add ons are possible to be added to the website. They are meant to complement missing needs (that the template does not offer) but the Beneficiary might want them.

Example: cookies (this is strongly recommended to be added – it costs around 5 EUR monthly)

There are Add on-s that are free. Those that are not free, majority of them are however not so expensive (see the above example “Cookies” that adds a few bucks to the monthly subscription).

I have done a research for you and found several free add on-s that you might be interested (see the list below).

Remark: no matter free or paid, a configuration of those add on-s is also needed and I am happy to do it when website is delivered, or after Beneficiary starts the business.

FREE add-on-s:

  • CATEGORY: BACK END. Invoice is ready made in the website back-end upon customer’s order completion (this reduces beneficiary’s workload when clients order products and they are invoiced). This Add On is FREE.
  • CATEGORY: BACK END, SUB-CATEGORY: SEO. Non-indexing pages (sometimes not all pages of a website need to be indexed by Google, for example Terms and Conditions, this conducting to an improved SEO / digital online presence). This Add On is FREE.
  • CATEGORY: FRONT END. Terms and Conditions check box made compulsory before checkout (if laws and regulations require it). This Add On is FREE.
  • CATEGORY: BACK END. Update the inventory of all products existent in the website through importing those figures automatically from a Google Sheet (instead of do manual updates in the store back-end). This Add On is FREE.
  • CATEGORY: FRONT END. Offer discounts to your customers. All they have to do is click on a link and their discount is automatically applied at checkout. This Add On is FREE.
  • CATEGORY: FRONT END. Sell over chat, and talk with your customers anytime, anywhere. This Add On is FREE.

C. Customisation (up to a certain extent)

Standard pages and shopping steps are available in majority of templates (products page, Collections, Home page, Blog, Contact page, etc).

If Beneficiary might want to have also additional pages such as special / customised pages like FAQ (Frequent Asked Questions), About Us, etc these can be easily added without much work from my side.

Tastes differ from one person to another. The Beneficiary is to provide his/her preferences (logo, colours, etc) as well as to make other choices (I mean, for example which Add On-s needs to be added to the website – a list of free Add On-s is in the left column of this page).

After these details are established I start with the installation of template and the configurations needed to satisfy those requirements.

There are some limitations in what I can do as far as the modifications done to a given template are concerned. I am not a full time web developer, but I can add some small snippets (provided that they are available on the market – see the service “Add Ons” in the left column) that will get the job done.

I am in favour of starting with a minimum and adding gradually, step-by-step, from simple to complex. The goal is that together with the Beneficiary to arrive hopefully at having in place a well structured, full of features website that is easy to use by clients.

However, I do not exclude to add from the beginning all features that the Beneficiary wants me to add and go smoothly through the entire process. I have a good experience in one case when the website owner knew from the start what he wanted and the turnkey website was ready in one week!

I encourage the Beneficiary to provide me with feed-back as often as he/she can during the construction process of website. The communication with and feed-back from Beneficiary are both critical to the efficient delivery of a turnkey website.

D. Maintenance ->this service is optional:

I have grouped maintenance in two categories:

  1. I take care of all payments incurred by the website paying them in the name of Beneficiary, after the website is delivered.
  2. On Demand requests. These are special tasks (upon request) payable at an hourly rate
    • REMARKS:
    • Beneficiary has to be aware that the website is due a kind of fix amount payable on a monthly basis because (a) the website is hosted on a third party platform and this incurrs a subscription to that platform (b) if the Beneficiary wanted non free add-ons, these might suppose mothly fees to be paid to third parties – the authors of those add on-s and (c) to be added the payments for domain hosting (twice a year) and domain renewal (typically once a year).
    • Without this service, beneficiary has to take care and pay all above by him/herself, or else the turnkey website I deliver will function no more after delivery.

FOR MAINTENANCE CATEGORY NO.1:

FIGURES

The subscription to eCommerce platform see (a) above plus the recommended Cookies Add On (see left column) equal 30-35 EUR monthly.

The term “kind of” fix amount is because once in a while (for example half yearly or annually) an additional subscription (i.e. hosting provider payment or domain renewal payment, or both) adds to the monthly fees to be paid.

IMPORTANT: there is an additional (monthly) fee payable to the external platform that hosts the website (besides subscription) and that fee depends on the volume of sales. Ask me details as appropriate.

FOR MAINTENANCE CATEGORY NO.2:

I am glad to help with what I call “special tasks”. I will elaborate on these below.

These are not standard tasks. I mean, they are different than the installation, configuration and customisation of website, such as defining order flow steps, or installing add on-s, or adding blog, or other pages in the final structure of website.

Example of a special tasks: (i) explore the existence of an Add On that imports all products’ descriptions, inventory and prices from Etsy.com into the client’s website. And if existent, then install and customize. Or (ii) explore if we can add the following feature: clients to be able to book online meetings using a callendar and those bookings to be confirmed by site owner. If existent then to be installed and customised.

During construction or after the website starts up, I can help with whatever is needed as long as it is technically possible to be implemented and provided that what I am requested to do I will also be able to deliver in a reasonable timeframe (don’t worry, I will tell you in due time – before I start to work on the requested mainenance or special task – if I can do it or not within the expected timeframe).

Adding products: this is supposed to be a one-time job performed a little before beneficiary starts the business. However, adding new products or modifying the existing ones might occur from time to time upon Beneficiary’s needs.

I will gladly add products (if there is such a request). Images, descriptions and prices of products are to be received from the Beneficiary

This and other specific tasks (within the MAINTENANCE CATEGORY NO.2 above) are charged at an hourly rate.

ALL PRICES ON THIS PAGE ARE INDICATIVE. I WILL SEND A FINALL OFFER TO THE BENEFICIARY AFTER WE TALK AND GET SUFFICIENT INFO ABOUT THE WEBSITE AND THE NEEDED FEATURES. THAT OFFER MIGHT HAVE AN INCREASED PRICE ACCORDING TO THE FINAL FEATURES AND/OR REQUESTED ADD ONs.

Testimonials

I was searching for something flexible and not so costly. I had a bad experience with a web developer that required a lot of money for something I wanted to add to my website, no matter how simple it was. Gabriel explained me all costs from the start and I still work with him and enjoy how we communicate. It will be some amazing website, looking forward to finalise!

Florentina, owner of flowers at doorstep website wanna be 🙂

I have made a choice of website template and Gabriel guided me through all steps my website will have. I am excited about amazing things that could be done. I like how the draft of website looks like. It has been a pleasure for me to work with Gabriel on this project.

Let’s build something great together.
